Welfare technology,

The Centre for Welfare Technology is a unit that supports the work on welfare technology across the administrations in Odense Municipality, and serves as one common entrance for companies who want dialogue with the municipality about new welfare technology solutions. The municipality of Odense participates in more than 50 projects regarding health and welfare solutions, ranging from development of an electronic medical dispenser to large international project such as Silver PCP - Robotics for elders. The centre collaborates with national and international private partners in testing and developing new welfare technologies tested at designated care centres.

Technology improving welfare services, such as independent living, rehabilitation, improved working environments and economic gains.

Testbed purpose

The centre aims to deploy and test solutions to the welfare society's challenges. Welfare technology can for instance be a technology that strengthens the citizen's ability to live independently and be self-reliant in everyday life or a technology that facilitates the work for employees.

Context

The processes and products tested are mainly deployed and tested at two designated care centres, Ærtebjerghaven and Munkehatten.
