Testbed purpose

The purpose is to develop a safe infrastructure and operations where research, development and tests, certifications, education and ,marketing of UAVs can be made.

Context

The test environment is an airfield over Asterisk, an area with all common landscape types and activities in Europe, close to Linkoping air cluster. The area has four different zones of air traffic restriction suitable for different types of testing. Zone A is over an airfield, Zone B is a coastal environment with urban elements, Zone C is mixed terrains with e.g. forests and agriculture, and Zone D is open sea.
