Intelligent transport

This is called a testified for autonomous and connected driver technology, development and testing on highways, federal and regional roads in the state of Lowe Saxony. On a section of about 7 kilometres on the A39, masts with camera and radar systems are set up for the anonymous collection of traffic data. This allows the traffic situation to be analysed. This analysis serves as the basis for the evaluation of new systems and the tests carried out can be evaluated in a traffic context.

For example: Functions for cooperative lane changes; Traffic jam warnings in vehicles

Testbed purpose

The purpose is to develop and test technology related to autonomous and connected vehicles.

Context

The test environment consist of 280 km of road where test infrastructure will have the necessary technology gradually installed.
